Amidst all the planning for the UK Tour, I got the chance to play with my band ‘the handful' after too long a break firstly at the Burke & Wills Music Festival and then more recently at the Mount Beauty Music Muster. What a treat it was to play with those guys again, they're fantastic musicians and it's a wonderful thing to be surrounded by people who make you laugh and forget about the daily grind for a while.

The tour is taking shape with more gigs being finalised almost daily. We'll arrive in the UK on August 20 with my first gig on August 22 and at this stage, return October 30 which means we'll be travelling for about ten weeks. It's my intention to meet with as many industry people as I can and make some solid contacts. In the meantime I'll keep trying to generate interest from as many overseas markets as possible.

Progress on the recording continues however after a couple of complete re-writes and reviewing some of the material I'd planned to include, I've decided to release it in the UK as a six track EP & re-visit the full album concept when I get back hopefully having written some additional material while travelling. I'm really enjoying working with Janette Geri to produce what I think will be my best work so far. She is an Artist in the true sense of the word, extremely gifted and I'm very fortunate to have this opportunity to work with her.
